With over 35 years in Social Services after helping thousands of clients, he is now retired and volunteers his time to operate this group. When it comes to gay men's support groups, this one deals with a host of issues. For issues dealing with men's gay support, gay men relationships, personal, health, family/marital, grief/loss, employment, substance, etc.., this gay men support group has it all. The group meets on a monthly basis at the West Haven Community Center (although we are not sponsored by them). We operate the group in a confidential manner where each member is free and can safely discuss there own issues expecting to receive support from the other members. The group is a give and take format where every member can share and or support others.
It is a great opportunity to make new and wonderful friends and also get involved in our annual social activities. Each year we usually plan a Holiday party, a Spring event, a Summer picnic, and a Halloween celebration. A future goal is for our to get more involved in community causes.
There are no costs for facilitator fees and the group is free. Occasionally there may be a small cost to participate in our social activities. We do accept donations which go towards the groups efforts to give back and thank the West Haven Community House annually.
